Going into the 4th quarter Vashon was down 52-43 to the number 2 team in the country. Vashon dug deep and came back to win a thriller on the backs of their guards.
Daniel “Peanut” Farris scored 11 of his 22 points in the 4th quarter. The smooth sophomore Super Mario McKinney scored 17 points in the game with a key 5 points in the last two minutes.
They upset Wheeler High School in their own backyard 69-67. Kansas State signee, Levi Stockard ended the game 16 points with 7 rebounds in the victory.
