PREDICTION: 2-2

Mokan Elite (2-2)

Mokan is capable of sweeping session 2 if they are completely healthy. 2021 Kennedy Chandler is coming along quite nicely and N’Faly Dante should be 100% since nursing a knee injury in session 1. The back court of 2020 Luke Kassubke and ,2020 Sam Ruzhenstev can get it going from the permentier. Dante’s rim-running and shot-blocking will be key in order for Mokan to have a positive weekend. Schedule: The Family Detroit, Howard Pulley, Team Takeover, Team United.

PREDICTION: 2-2

Nike Pro Skills (3-1)

Pro Skills is in good shape entering the weekend. Their only loss in session 1 came to a stacked Vegas Elite  in which they held their own in a 5 point loss. Many don’t know yet, but NPS has a late bloomer by the name of Micah Peavy who could very well earn those 5 stars soon. Peavy earned Nike EYBL All-Atlanta First Team honors in session 1. 2020 KK Robinson is averaging 19.5 PPG and should shoulder some of the scoring load  The recent addition of Montreal Pena will add an extra punch in the front court. Schedule: UPLAY, Texas Titans, Playaz Club, Nightrydas Elite.

PREDICTION: 3-1

Other Notes: Jeremy Roach commits to Duke

Duke kicked off their 2020 recruiting class when 5 star PG Jeremy Roach announced his decision to play the Blue Devils over Kentucky, Villanova and UNC on Wednesday. Roach was arguably the most consistently productive PG in his class before tearing his ACL in November at Paul VI. He is considered a top 20 prospect

Dior Johnson suiting up for S4G 15u

Johnson has long been considered on of the top prospects in the 2022 class. He already has offers from Alabama, Georgia Tech, LSU, DePaul, Memphis, Nebraska, Ole Miss, TCU and more. News of him teaming up with Bronny James is huge as he joins Skyy Clark and Sada Nganga as well. The match-up between S4G vs Emoni Bates Bates Fundamentals will likely be the most profiled game of the Nike EYBL this weekend

Jalen Green whispers

Will a top 3 player in the 2020 class be suiting up for another team this weekend? That remains a hot but unanswered topic that we’ll soon enough know in the grassroots world. If not Oakland Soldiers then the rumors of Team Why Not as a spot for Green could help him better showcase his talent. Green had a decent but not great session 1, but will be ready for Indianapolis
