2020 Rankings: Top 100 High School Basketball Recruits

The most difficult decision in the rankings…

Cade Cunningham holds the top spot in our rankings for now, but there’s currently a tier of deserving #1 candidates in the 2-6 range. Deciding where to rank Ziaire Williams, Makur Maker, Greg Brown and Evan Mobley was definitely challenging. Williams has a very high upside and is exactly the player that you’d build in a lab. The secret is out on Maker, as he’s somewhat of a perimeter type in the mold of a modern center. Greg Brown’s high-flying antics and improved skill is worthy of a top 5 billing. On a good day you might convince me to buy into Mobley as the top prospect in the class because of his size, foundation of skill, and youth.

I hope we didn’t rank this player too high…

We decided to place Josh Hall at No. 35.  After recently joining the EYBL for team CP3, the 6-foot-10 wing put on one of the best performances in Indianapolis showing his fluidity, a sweet stroke, and the ability to guard multiple positions. Schools like Kansas and Florida have already offered, but since Hall is a North Carolina native, I imagine the likes of UNC, NCST, and Wake Forest will be interested in Hall’s services as well.

I hope we didn’t rank this player too low…

If I could pick any point guard in the 2020 class to start my college team with, it might be Reece Beekman at No. 49. Beekman will be an instant contributor to a high-major team for 2+ years, and by my guess, an eventual NBA prospect. The Louisiana guard is averaging 7 assists to only 1 turnover per game for Phenom U, and though a couple 5 star teammates have something to do with that, it’s impressive nonetheless. I’d bet on Beekman showing more at the college level once having the keys to the offense because of his instincts on both ends of the floor, passing, and spot scoring.
